  • • He participated in the 20th International Workshop on Combinatorial Algorithms (IWOCA 2009) at Hradec Nad Moravici, Czech Republic during June 28- July 2, 2009 and gave a talk on Equitable Domination in Graphs. He has also submitted the proposal for organizing this workshop at Kalasalingam University in 2012.

  • • He participated in the 22nd British Combinatorial Conference (BCC 2009) at University of St. Andrews, St. Andrews, Scotland, UK during July 5-10, 2009 and delivered a talk on Maximal Independent sets in Minimum Colorings

    • o    During this visit Prof. S. Arumugam has established contacts with several leading graph theorists who have expressed their willingness for research collaboration.

  • • Prof. S. Arumugam participated in the India-Taiwan Conference on Discrete Mathematics at National Taiwan University, Taipei , Taiwan during November 9-12, 2009 and delivered a talk on Component-Complete Sets in Graphs.

    • Participated in the Sixth Cracow Conference on Graph Theory held at Zgorzelisko, Poland during September 12-17, 2010 and presented a paper entitled On Dominator Colorings in Graphs.

  • Participated in the fiftieth Midwest Graph Theory Conference (MIGHTY  L) at the University of Wisconsin – Superior, USA on October 23, 2010 and presented a paper on Dominator Colorings in Graphs.

  • Motivated by the formation and the functioning of n-CARMATH at Kalasalingam University, Prof. Atulya K. Nagar, Professor of Computer and Mathematical Sciences (Foundation Chair), Head of the Department of Computer Science, Liverpool Hope University, Hope Park, Liverpool, L16 9JD. England (UK) submitted a proposal to his University for the formation of “Centre for Applicable Mathematics and Systems Science (CAMSS)”. Liverpool Hope University sanctioned the above proposal and Prof. S. Arumugam visited Liverpool Hope University, UK under this project during 2nd May –24th May 2011 for research collaboration. The proposal for the second phase of this project has been submitted to Liverpool Hope University by Prof. Atulya K. Nagar.

  • Prof. S. Arumugam participated in the International Workshop on Combinatorial Algorithms (IWOCA 2011) at University of Victoria, Canada during June 18-26, 2011 and gave a presentation about IWOCA 2012 to be organized at Kalasalingam University. He also presented a paper entitled “Algorithmic Aspects of Dominator Colorings” and had interaction with Prof. Gary MacGillivray for future collaboration.

  • Visited British University in Dubai on 14-11-2011 and delivered an Open Lecture on “Visual Cryptography Scheme- A Brief Survey”.

  • Prof. S. Arumugam, in his capacity as Visiting Professor, visited the Department of Computer Science, Liverpool Hope University, Liverpool, UK during 19th September – 13th October 2012. He has already established research collaboration with Prof. Atulya K. Nagar and three joint papers have already been published on Visual Cryptography. During this visit, this research collaboration is further strengthened and one full time research scholar Mr. Neil Buckley, who has just registered for his Ph.D. at Liverpool Hope University, will work under the joint supervision of Prof. S. Arumugam and Prof. Atulya K. Nagar. The research scholar will also visit Kalasalingam University for a few months next year. Also he delivered an invited talk on Applications of Graph Theory to Social Networks in the research seminar programme of Liverpool Hope University on 10th October 2012.
